TOTR: TMI Stories

No, I won't tell any of my personal stories, but we as runners all have stories of TMI issues either before races or during races.  The running tip of finding a breakfast that works for you comes from experience.  There's nothing worse than trying a brand new to you breakfast on race morning, only to have it backfire at some point during the race.

No, my write up is an ode to Band Aids, thanks to a meme Brooks posted the day before Thanksgiving.  It made me lol.

OK, since I can wear sports bras, I've never had this issue, but it's running humor, and I love it.

Tuesdays on the Run with Patty, Erika, and Marcia.

  1. I very glad this one thing I don't have to deal with. We've got enough to worry about.

    1. Yes we do, but I never thought of it from the guy's perspective. Sports bras do have their advantages.

    1. I might have laughed harder than I should have, but I couldn't help it.

  3. Yes, definitely glad the sports bra keeps us from having to use the bandaids. But I feel the guys pain, occasionally if I don't put enough vaseline around the bra line it will rub all my skin off, and just the thought of that makes me cringe, LOL

    1. I've had bras chafe under my arm pits in the past. I'm using bras now that don't chafe, and won't switch at all.

  5. That's awesome! I once passed a guy on the trail wearing a white shirt and he had blood streaming down his shirt. I felt so bad for him. He must have noticed the look on my face and he said, "Looks like I've sprung a leak!" I guess you just have to laugh at what we runners put ourselves through!

    1. We do need a sense of humor. We put ourselves through all this willingly, and for fun.

    1. Mostly I've seen tape or band aids, but I have seem ads for nipple guards. Poor guys.

  7. Hahah I think you have to have a few TMI stories as a runner... what happens while running, stays on the running trail :)

    1. Or with your running buddies. Only a runner can understand what happens, and laugh despite everything.

  8. I have not had this issue either, but have seen some very uncomfortable looking people running in races bleeding from those tender spots!

    1. I've seen post race pictures and it looks awful. I just want to say, there are band aids for that.

    1. Yes. Sports bras may add drama in other areas, but that part is protected.

  10. I'll have to show my husband that meme, as he unfortunately has personal experience with that!
